Hey guys! So, this week we didn't get a chosen blog topic. So we are going to do a free one this week. I decided to do it on a movie and I picked Trolls. Now, I know what you are thinking, Trolls? Well I'm not really a movie person, movies scare me and make me sad because there's always a plot in it. Now, Trolls is animated and animated movies are probably my favorite. Basically because it means no humans will die. Trolls is really a good movie. The characters' facial expressions are good and the voices really match the character. I also really like the whole movie's story and plot. I don't really want to explain anything because it might spoil it for you. I really think you should check it out!
Hey guys! So for this week's blog, I'm going to talk about the process I've made for our Kauai Grown project. I'm in the digital graphics with Erik. Our job is basically to create posters and advertisements for Kauai Grown. Here are three things that we have done so far.
So first of all, we created a lot of poster designs for Kauai Grown's 22nd Annual Garden fair, but we didn't ended using it. This is because we pretty much had no photos to use because it was their first event and we didn't have all the information. The lady that provides us with it kept saying she would give it to us, but we never received it. Then we went on our STN trip, and we were too late already. This kind of stuff we can't control, but this was a major obstacle. Secondly, we have started to start organizing ourselves in this new website we use called basecamp. We can do all sorts of things like create to-do lists, schedules, link documents, ect. So, we have everything we needed to do on there. Also, we started looking through the pictures to see which ones we are going to use for different things. Lastly, we have just started created promos for our social media accounts. We are on Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook, if you want to check us out on there. Anyways, Erik and I split it up and are doing two each. I just finished with my Snapchat promo and I think Erik just finished with his Instagram one as well. We are in the process of finishing the other two now. In conclusion, I feel we are doing pretty good and are on track. We have already organized our information and work and are almost done with our promos. Well, that;s pretty much it for this week's blog. Thanks for reading! Hey guys! So I'm back to weekly blogs now. STN was really fun, but I'm really happy to be home and on a regular schedule. Anyways this weeks topic is actually about STN again. What three momentous learning experiences were our favorite. We did a lot on this trip, so it was hard to condense it to only three, but here are my top overall three!
So, first of all, one of my favorite learning experiences we had was going to the Disney animation studios actual building! It was one of those places that you had to know somebody in order to go in and it was such an amazing experience. I really have a good idea of what a job of an animator is now. Also we got to see the voice of Olaf as well!!! That was so cool, it was probably the closest I've ever gotten next to a celebrity! Also, my second top favorite learning experience was the actual STN competition. It really was my test to see my improvement throughout the two years of media I've gone through. And also seeing the improvement Amber and Shayne has made through what I taught them during practices. Although it was the most stressful thing ever, it all was worth it when we got honorable mention! I was so happy we placed! My third top favorite learning experience I had was when we went to the Angels stadium and had a tour. Now I consider this a learning experience because I knew basically nothing, what so ever about baseball. Now I actually kind of get the game, and I also learned things about the stadium as well. While we were there we also got to walk on the dirt part of the field! It was still a cool experience even though I'm not really a baseball fan. In conclusion, the Disney animation studio tour, the STN competition, and touring he Angels stadium has to be my favorite top three learning moments I had. This trip was so fun and eventful. We did so much, it was hard to choose! Well, thanks for reading! Hey guys! So today is Day 10 of STN and sadly the day. :( But on the bright side, it was Disneyland day! There's just something about going to theme parks with your friends that make the experience just 10 times more exciting! Anyways, we woke up pretty early ate breakfast and headed straight to Disneyland. We got to go on a few rides before we went on our Disney animation tour. This tour was more of how animation started and what are the elements to create an animated movie. It was actually pretty fun, it wasn't like we sit in a room and listen to a presenter which was what I thought it was going to be. When it was done we ride some other rides and ate lunch. It was also pretty cool because we had fast passes for the space mountain and splash mountain rides, which are like a 2 hour waits. Once we got back to the hotel it was final packing time and go to sleep ASAP because we had to wake up really early for the airport. Well that concludes the trip the next is just flying back to Kauai. It's pretty sad that it's over already, but I'm also very ready to go back home. Thanks for reading!
Hey guys! So today was Day 9 of STN! Why means it's closing ceremony! So we woke up and got in line to enter the ballroom. It was very exciting, because all the excitement was building in you. Once we got inside we sat in the front and just waited til everyone was seated to start. Once it started, all the nervousness inside me started to come out. And it just so happened that my category was last, so everybody was getting their awards and I'm just there like, "omg please get an award, please." 😂 I was so nervous, but it was finally our category and we got honorable mention. Which is still good, and I'm very proud of it! After the closing ceremonies was finished we got ready to head over to Disneyland! It was so much fun, even though we didn't ride a lot of rides because it was pretty late in the day. My feet were so sore though, the pain was real, so real 😂! Anyways, once we got to the hotel we got ready for bed and slept. Stay tuned for tomorrow's blog!
