Hey everybody! So, this week I will be talking about this movie trailer for this movie called, Storks. I mean this movie's plot and overall movie is not the best to me, but it's becoming the end of the year and all the movie trailer on YouTube are basically used in blogs already. Anyways, this is another animated movie, but there's animals that talk. I always think it's cool when they make animal characters have the voice of humans. It must be hard to match the character with person's voice to make it look awesome though. I mean there must be a lot of effort that goes into making big time movies. So, I hope you like it. This is my last blog for a little while, but I'll be back soon. Enjoy!
Hey guys! So, this week's blogs are the last for the year! This year has gone by really fast and I had a good time in this class as well. Anyways, this week's blog topic is about what our summer goals are to improve in media. There's lots I can do, but here's my three.
My first goal is to start planning out my projects over the summer time. This would make good use of all the free time I would have in the summer. It would also help me get a little head start in the class. I could be thinking of my 3rd quarter project and 4th quarter project ideas. :)
My second goal is to try and make little videos over the summer with iMovie. This could help me improve my filming and editing skills. I'll probably go to the beach and film some stuff and turn it into a video. Maybe even start a YouTube channel. Hopefully I persuade my parents into getting me a Gopro, so I can get really cool shots of the waves.
My third goal is to try new things! I mean this a very simple goal, but this class helps you more than just teaching you how to make videos. It's much more, trying new things will also help my creativity. It helps to have that when deciding what to do for your 4th quarter project. The more creativity the better. :)
In conclusion, these are my three summer goals to help me improve in media. This way I will be using my summer time wisely. Also, we will be saying bye to all our 8th graders in the class. I will miss all you guys! Hope you have fun in high school. :) Thanks for reading!
Hello! So, this week's topic is about giving advice to the new people coming in to this media program. Now, there's lots of advice to give about this class, so you don't really get in trouble. I have three I would like to share, so here it goes.
The first piece of advice I have is to make sure you don't procrastinate. Now this is a big thing in our class. You might feel like you have lots of time to work on projects because you can bring your laptop home. So, therefore you don't really need to work on it a lot. Please don't do it. It's better to get it done early so Mr.M can check it and you could be ahead hopefully. I learned this the hard way, so just don't do it.
The second piece of advice I have is to work together with your partner. If you don't work together, bad things happen and you put your project in risk. I also learned this the hard way. Make sure to communicate as much as possible regarding your project. Not saying you have to be besties or something, but you can if you want.
The last piece of advice is for when you're doing your fourth quarter project. Try to plan ahead of time on what cool video you're going to do. Also, if you want to work with someone or not. It's always good to be prepared on what you're going to do for projects to make it one of the the best.
In conclusion, I hoped this is good advice for you newbies out there coming into the class. This was all what I could think of other than, telling you meet your deadlines or make sure there's a shoe on your tripod or monopod before you film. Trust me we make those mistakes, but Mr.M wanted us to dig down deeper into the bag of advice. :)
Hey guys! So, for this week's free blog I would like to talk to you about the Haschak Sisters and their amazing home-made music videos on Youtube. Now I'm not sure who films these guys and edits the videos, but it's amazing. They put their own twists on music videos and choreographs them. I'm telling you these videos are high quality. I wonder what equipment they use as well. Maybe you should just watch it for yourselves. :)
Hey everybody! So, this week, I will be talking about the Angry Birds International movie trailer. This movie has a funny, cute, and entertaining story. It's basically the actual game, but in a real life animation story way. If that makes any sense. This movie trailer, is very funny and I love it. I wonder how animation is made in these big movie companies. I'm sure it's not easy to make a movie, or is it? Maybe these people have all this new technology to make the process easier. Me, not sure, but yeah. Well, anyways, check it out.
Hey everybody! So, this week's blog topic is about our project and how are we doing with it. I am doing my project with Kai and I think we are on track. The three reasons why I think that is because we're almost done editing, we got most of our filming done, we might be able to get a 1st draft out early.
The first reason why we're on track is because we are almost done editing. Editing is always a time for me, when it gets stressful. It's because it's when you figure out if you filmed your shots right or if you even filmed enough. That was our problem, but we worked with what we had and got almost the whole video done.
Our project is turning out pretty good because we got filming done pretty early and we were able to edit. The only thing is that when we were editing, we were having to put placeholders in some places where we didn't film enough. We are planning to film that next week and quickly edit it in to get a first draft. This brings me into my next reason.
We might be able to make a 1st draft! Everyone wants their project to be the best it can be. Part of that is getting to do multiple drafts. We're almost done editing like I said before, but we just have to get those shots filmed as soon as possible.
Well this is why we're on track and I'm thankful for it. These last few weeks are going by very fast and these last few weeks are going to be busy too. So, many thins to juggle. Well, thanks for reading!
